its a really simple procedure...and i agree that men need to take more of the birth control responsability...especiallysince most men complain when theyhave to use a condom...its all on the woman, and all up to us to destroy our bodies and put our hearts at risk.....its way cheaper and way more safe for a man to do it too...its like a couple hundred bucks to get it done,i back up your choice 1000000000percent
Guys complaining about using condoms is the stupidest thing ever, for exactly the reasons you list. Oh boo hoo, you're about to do it and god forbid YOU have to make some small sacrifice that you don't even need a prescription or appointment for, and can get for free in a lot of cases. It doesn't even feel that much different to me, personally.
I guess a male birth control pill is in the works (yay animal testing), I'm interested to see how the public responds.
I miss you.
my partner and i may get a vasectomy/tubes tied in the next year or two. it's a good idea.
i had a conversation about this with the dudes from network of terror when they played here last summer, when we're in north carolina you might want to talk to them about it. if i remember correctly 3/4ths of them had vasectomies and all had really positive experiences/things to say about it.
those dudes were cool as hell...i wish i would have gotten their contacts when they stayed with us! too bad they broke up :(
yea, they're all super amazing! people i definitely wish i didn't live half a country away from.
wedge has one, i think its very inexpensive aswell
They tied his balls together, what's inside's not alive!

I had it done several months ago
At age 23. It was the no-scalpel procedure, and I definitely recommend that if you can get it; it is very common now and recovery is very fast and easy.
I recommend you get it sooner rather than later. You'll have to schedule a consultation before the procedure. Getting it done while not active is actually not a bad idea, not for any medical reason but just because it's usually more conveninent that way.
Cost totally depends on where you are and whether you are insured (most plans cover it). I paid only $40 out of pocket, but you may have to pay anywhere from a couple hundred bucks to well over a thousand if you're doing it out of pocket. If you have a cash problem some clinics are cheaper.
However, I do recommend you get the no-scalpel procedure if possible and just go with the local anaestthetic, no sedatives, unless you are really panicky or squeamish. The less in the way of drugs you take the easier it is. I took a total of just two Tylenol afterwards. Your mileage may vary.

Re: I had it done several months ago
Thanks for the info. The no-scalpal method definitely seems preferable and worth a bit more in cost if that's the case.
I know some people that have had it done if you would like me to get your their information. Check with your insurance they might pay for it. Mine paid for my tubaligation but only because of the physician who did it and the reason he agreed to do it. I wish it was as easy for a woman to get her tubes tied as it is for a man to get a vasectomy.
100 or less sliding scale at planned parenthood in towson, talk to me about this in person.
I know a few dudes who got it done at Planned Parenthood in the Bay and it was free. I'm probably going to be getting one pretty soon as well.
I figured of all places for it to be free, it'd be in the birthplace of free love.
If we both get it and we're at a show where a band covers "Operation," we can sing along and we'll be telling the truth!
hey, i'm cortnee. remember me? i lived in the house with heather and sock in michigan. i added you!
Hey! I'll add you back.
Where are you living now?
temporarily moved back in with my parents to save money! lame, right?
